Sanctioned Swims

A sanctioned swim is completed following a set of rules and standards agreed to by the swimmer and the sanctioning organization. The swim is completed under the supervision of a trained observer who verifies and documents the integrity of the swim.

The Monterey Bay Swimming Association is available to observe and sanction swims across the Monterey Bay, between Santa Cruz and Monterey, California.

Non-Sanctioned swims

The Monterey Bay is an incredible Open Water Swim venue, with unlimited options for designing creative and challenging swims - many which have never been done. There's a little something for everyone.

The Monterey Bay Swimming Association is available to support and observe many of these swims as well.

These are a couple of our non-sanctioned favorites.
