A challenging 10K+ Open Water Swim for experienced open water swimmers
This swim begins at the Capitola Wharf and ends at the Santa Cruz Wharf. Space is limited.
When: September 18, 2022
Where: Capitola Beach to Cowell Beach
Distance: 10k
THIS IS A DEEP WATER OFF-SHORE SWIM FOR EXPERIENCED COLD WATER MARATHON SWIMMERS.
This swim has a 5 hour cutoff time limit. Wetsuits, hands paddles, pull buoys, and fins are NOT permitted.
ALL SWIMMERS MUST PROVIDE THEIR OWN SAFETY PADDLERS. Paddlers must carry a compass and GPS. Kayakers must wear a coast guard approved PFD (life vest) at all times. Prone Paddlers, it is suggested you wear a leash.
More information about parking, shuttling cars, kayak drop off, etc. will be available closer to the event.
